Sisters in Spirit Day is a powerful annual event dedicated to honouring and amplifying the voices of Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals who have been victims of violence or gone missing. Held each October 4th in Canada, this day serves as a solemn reminder of the ongoing crisis of violence against Indigenous communities and a call to action for justice and change.
This year, we will collaborate with St. Thomas University to hold an event for Sisters in Spirit (National Day of Action for MMIWG2S+).
This event is open to the public. Please join us and raise awareness, stand in solidarity and commemorate the lost ones. We kindly ask that you wear red.
